Jason S. listed his resume for Regional H & I Chair. Priorities for the region to accomplish: 1. Guidelines for H & I Subcommittees. 2. Budget.( Need budget submitted as accurate as possible so we can request funds from a Regional level before funds are sent to CA. so we can carry the message to the still suffering addict. Bill informed committee we took speakers into Jacoa and Aspell and we put IP’s wherever we were allowed within the H & I community. Informed committee that Youthtown was discussed by Mike S. in our Area meeting the previous weekend. Bill informed committee our budget for H & I is $200/ mo. On average, and we would need to double that budget to increase the message we would like to carry to Youthtown and other outlets that need the message of recovery. Mike needs H & I Handbook and Guide to local Svcs. Mike also got phone numbers from other H & I members present. PI Report: Bill M., Chair. Bill M. reports we made several PSA’s and distributed them to radio stations. Have been asked to do presentation for Area Outreach. JSCC has invited us to their alcohol and drug awareness function. We asked for power point presentation to help us. We have been asked by Lexington City Police to go into area schools. We are working on our website and our phone lines are up and running well. New Business: A conversation about using the P.R. Handbook as opposed to the P.I. Handbook that is no longer in print. The Chair said that she understood that it was O.K. to use both. More clarification at Sunday meeting.. Todd talked to Steve R. from World and was told to adapt to the new literature. He was also told to use either one at our discretion. As a region we need to come together and tell World what we need to be put in the PR Handbook from the P.I. handbook and give the information to the R.D. (Belinda H.) to carry out our vote. Ricardo J. stated that in the NAWS News it stated that addendums are coming down. Belinda H. suggested that as a subcommittee we let the World know what we need as a body. We as the P.I. subcommittee voted to use both hand books. No old business. Meeting was adjourned at 1:45. We had a great time during our trip to Nashville, and are looking forward to going back on April 5,2008. We ate at Applebee’s after the meetings. Good food. Asking Area to reimburse mileage to and from Nashville, 250 miles @ 25 cents per mile for a total of $62.50. In loving service, Bill See attachments: Treasurer Report to be added soon.
